History

Galassia Spa born in 1980 at Corchiano (VT) in the High Tuscia land (Etruria and Falisca zones) since VI century the birthplace of ceramic production.

There are a lot of ecological finds confirming that ceramic products had been manufactured in this area were in concurrence with the Greek ones.

Galassia is carrying this tradition on, a business based reality of steady growth not only in terms of turnover, but above all in occupational, dimensional and technological designs.

The opportunity as well as the ability of collaborating with Italians and foreign important manufacturers and with designers (as Romano Adolini, King & Miranda Design, David L. Dolcini, etc) thanks to whom the corporate image developed and strengthened, the skill in anticipating styles and trends: all this things make the Company a benchmark in the international panorama of bath furnishings.

Galassia today:

• Galassia covers a 37.000 square metres area with 2 productions plants and its production capacity is of 450.000 items per year.
• Galassia is one of the most important productive realities, it is well respected and appreciated both in Italy and abroad, and it uses latest generation technologies.

Organization

Galassia Spa has 2 production plants, both located in the Civita Castellana ceramic district.

In the plant located in Corchiano (VT), where about 70 people work, fire-clay items are produced, such as washbasins, shower trays, kitchen sinks and wash-tubs. In the plant located in Fabrica di Roma, where others 80 people work, vitreous china items are produced, that is WC and bidet.

Two offices and warehouses placed in Europe enrich the commercial organization of the Company.

The internationalization process, which started during year 2000, has made possible the birth of 2 foreign subsidiaries to manage particularly live and strategic markets:

GALASSIA HISPANIA SAU established during year 2001 in Madrid covering all Spain and Portugal markets.
GALASSIA UK LTD, established during year 2008 in Leeds covering English and Irish markets.

Our aim is to have an international perspective in order to adapt it to the exigencies of the global market.
